The Jersey Shore obsession began in 2009 and continues to take America by storm. Season three premiered with an audience of over eight million, making it one of the most watched shows in the history of television entertainment. Whether you watch the show or not, you can’t go anywhere without seeing or hearing something about it and when you hear those two words “The Situation”, you know exactly who he is.

In the midst of another controversial season, this “Jersey Shore” cast member is at the top of his game. I can’t think of another reality star that has gotten this much hype. Cameras are constantly snapping and rolling on this guy. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is definitely making a statement with his flashy fashion. For a guy who always has his shirt off or pulled up to show his abs, he is definitely into the edgy, street couture style that has been taking over the 18-35 demographic over the last few years.

With the dramatic third season in full swing and the upcoming fourth season slated to begin shooting in Italy, interviews, club appearances and endorsements of this rising star are all the rage. Sorrentino has been seen on air wearing several pieces from local designer Street Star Lifestyle Brand during this season’s antics. Just in the first few episodes, he was seen rocking five different shirts from their exclusive collection.

Sorrentino was first seen in Street Star gear last year when the entire cast was captured at an early screening of Jackass 3D which aired during MTV’s VMA Pre-Show and later that week on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

Street Star Lifestyle Brand is a Philadephia based company, whose core is all about flashy, trendy and unique tees for men, designed for the fashion forward who want to stand out in the crowd. Not only is this line worn by celebrities and fashion-forward trendsetters alike, it is approved and sported by those who aren’t living in Hollywood. Street Star takes every day clothing in an artistic and personalized direction by bringing quality fabrics and applications together. The company is making itself known for its creative, unique, in-house designs that can’t be found anywhere else. The brand is defined by great attention to detail and has always been original. Each piece is hand-constructed and not mass produced, making each garment truly one of a kind. This ground-floor organization is quickly moving up the ladder of emerging contemporary brands, with fans in the US, Canada, UK and Germany.

Street Star has evolved with innovative designs, original concepts, and stylish trends, steadily developing from a t-shirt company into a true lifestyle brand. By bringing quality fabrics and applications together, the brand is defined by great attention to detail and has always been original.

We are constantly adapting to the ever changing “street wear” market, aiming to cater to a variety of clientele. Though our trademark designs are over-the-top, flashy and somewhat controversial, we do also have pieces from certain collections that are simple, yet unique in style, like the “Original Classics” Collection released at the end of Summer 2010.

Street Star’s latest collection: “X-Rated” released last week at the Fall 2010 “Fashion Up” event, is highly controversial, sexual and downright naughty. This collection is for the guy who wants to stand out in a crowded night club. It’s for someone who wants to be noticed. With an assortment of tees, thermals and henley’s, this collection offers pieces with and without Swarovski crystals in a variety of styles. Each piece features a sexy silhouette and clever saying that makes a statement.

If you heard the name Mike Sorrentino, you might have no idea who I am talking about. But if I called him “The Situation“, I think everyone on planet Earth, like him or not, knows exactly who he is. In the midst of another controversial season, this “Jersey Shore” cast member is at the top of his game. I can’t think of another reality star that has gotten this much hype. Cameras are constantly rolling on this guy, it seems like everyone is jumping on “The Situation” bangwagon.

With the dramatic Jersey Shore Season 2 coming to an end, and Sorrentino’s debut on Dancing with the Stars coming up next week, interviews, photo ops and endorsements of this rising star are all the rage. The Situation has collaborated with several companies, including Luxury Laces rosaries (which he can be seen wearing all the time) and Devotion Vodka. He is also rumored to be starting his own clothing line and even his own brand of “pimp cups” with Snoop Dog.
